Christina as an Actress

Christina Artemis is regarded as an exceptional character actress with a career spanning several decades. She shows a diverse range of characters by playing classic roles such as ‘La Poncia from House of Bernada Alba’ to

the dramatic role of ‘Aldonza, Dulcine’ in Man of la Mancha. It was her singing training at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama that gave her the confidence to play in opera at the ‘Serenade Arts’ Plymouth; notably the outrageous role of Adele in ‘Die Fledermaus’  and the tragic ‘Magda Sorrell’ in The Consul’ (Menotti). Christina fulfilled her dream to work on the West End stage when she was offered the chance to take over the hilarious ‘Agnes Gooch’ in Mame’ at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane with the legendary Ginger Rogers.

Testimonial

As a professional colleague and friend, I have seen Christina Artemis play a variety of interesting character roles over many years. She surpassed herself in the role of ‘Agnes Gooch’ in ‘Mame at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane with an impeccable and very funny characterization.    Not surprisingly, she ‘stopped the show ‘which is no mean feat for a packed audience of over 2,000
